I got sick of asking my wife to check the back of my head.

I shaved my head with foam and a razor for years. Every time, I'd end up asking the wife to check the back of it, because a razor and a mirror only get you so far.

So I went looking for a head shaver. The cheap ones got me close, but never smooth — I was always going back for one more pass. I paid more for a "proper" one. Same story.

Bollocks to this.

Turns out I wasn't the only one.

Every bald bloke I spoke to had a version of the same story. Some had shavers that packed in after a few months. Some were left with sore, irritated skin from going over the same patch too many times trying to get it smooth. Some, like me, just never quite got there. Different shavers, same result: money spent, nothing to show for it.

That's the problem The Smooth Geezer exists to fix. Not another gimmick with a new colour and the same guts inside. Tools built properly, that actually do what they say on the box.

I found a manufacturer who got it, and we got stuck into the details most brands don't bother with. The first version of the Head Shaver had six heads. It didn't feel right, and it took too long. So we went to seven, and kept reshaping the heads and blades until we had maximum coverage and maximum contact with the scalp. Two motor speeds, not one or three, so it doesn't choke through a week's growth.

First time I used it, I asked the wife to check the back of my head.

"Yeah, it's all gone!"
